That group of thunderstorms that has been so persistent north of Birmingham tonight was finally beginning to weaken and breaking up at 10:30 pm.

The heaviest rain was over the East edge of Walker County and the South tip of Cullman County.

In places like Empire, Arkadelphia and Breman.

Moving slowly north.

A moderate to heavy shower had also developed over SW Winston County east of Natural Bridge.

Parts of North Jefferson and Walker County got about two inches of rain tonight.

Unless these storms grow stronger again, this may be our last update. However, we will be watching and burning the late night oil if necessary.
