NWS/Birmingham has issued a Significant Weather Alert for St. Clair County until 1:45.

This includes the City of Moody. The primary threat is small hail and strong gusty winds up to 45 mph. Hail could possibly be dime size.

They issued that alert because of a strong thunderstorm 11 miles SW of Moody moving east at 10. Other strong thunderstorms were scattered through Western St. Clair County and along the Blount/Etowah County line. A thunderstorm was also still in progress in NE Trussville. Most of them are moving toward the NE.

This is not an all inclusive list of the storms around Alabama. We will try to keep you posted on just the stronger ones as the afternoon goes on.
