That long line of showers and thunderstorms continues to shift eastward. All of the main showers and storms now well to the east and SE of the Birmingham area.
At 2:15 am, the main storms, and by far the most lightning, extended from Chilton County, in Central Alabama, southwestward all the way to Mobile.
There were no formal warnings in effect but still plenty of lightning and locally heavy rain.
For areas north and west of Birmingham, the weather should be relatively quiet for the remainder of tonight.
