That is the thunderstorm that triggered the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Jefferson County. At 5:50 p.m., it was centered along and just west of I-65 and US-31. It was beginning to move more toward the SW and it has decreased in strength in the last five minutes. The warning is scheduled to expire at 6:00 p.m. unless extended.
A few of the other stronger thunderstorms were NW of Huntsville and just west of Cullman. They, too, were moving SW.
