That wide band of showers taking its time moving east.
At 1:45 pm, showers had spread as far east as Lawrence, Winston, Walker, Tuscaloosa and Hale County.
Probably the heaviest rain (moderate to heavy) was from West Pickens County northward to the east part of both Marion and Franklin County in NW Alabama.
The line extends southward into parts of SW Alabama and SE Mississippi.
But also some moderate to briefly heavy showers in Tuscaloosa and Hale County including Tuscaloosa, Moundville, Greensboro and, ah yes, Havana Junction!
We had projected the showers to Birmingham by 2. They should still reach the city between 2 and 3 o’clock.
Very little lightning involved.
No complaints.
We need the rain.
