The more extensive and heavier rain has moved eastward out of Alabama. A rather broad band of light rain (a few spots of moderate) continues over about the SE half of the state.
Little or no rain indicated over the NW half including places like Huntsville, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa.
Much of the state received good amounts of needed rain overnight. Numerous communities got between one and two inches.
Just one example: Jemison, in the middle of the state, 2.10 inches.
But, the heaviest rain of all was over SW Alabama. Just look at these amounts:
3.06 inches in Evergreen
3.10 at Atmore
2.86 at Thomasville
4.95 at Jackson
FLASH FLOOD WATCH CANCELLATION
The NWS, Mobile, cancelled the Flash Flood Watch for part of SE Mississippi and SW Alabama since most of the rain has moved east out of the area.
