Still touch and go over a good part of North and Central Alabama about icing. The Winter Weather Advisory continues.

Radar at 11 am, shows that one batch of precipitation is moving quickly east from the Birmingham area. Still some more in West Alabama but not as much.

It should continue to decrease later this afternoon, but new batches seem to want to form and come at us.

An increase in some icing in the Tennessee Valley late this morning where temperatures are insisting on staying in the upper 20s. This is cold enough to quickly freeze what rain that falls.

In Birmingham Metro, have a report of light freezing rain on US 280 near Regions Bank

Icing has also been reported this morning on Strait Mountain in Blount County

Sleet falling at the NWS office in Huntsville
Airport at Madison reporting moderate freezing rain
North-south Memorial Parkway in Huntsville closed again

OUTAGES
Automated weather equipment at Cullman Airport near Vinemont is out of service.
Dew point of -13 at Fort Payne Airport also way off. Equipment will be recalibrated.
