A Tornado Warning has been issued for Lamar County in West Alabama until 4:30 p.m. Radar indicated it to be 6 miles west of Vernon or about 17 miles NE of Columbus Air Force Base moving east at 30 mph. It is expected to pass near Vernon and about 6 miles south of Sulligent.
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings are in effect for Central Greene County and North-Central Sumter Counties until 4:45 and for Pickens County. The line of storms will progress eastward. The Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues until 8:00pm, including the greater Birmingham area. Scroll down for a list of those counties.
