Damage reports sofar from this unfolding severe weather event:
* 5 tornado reports, 3 in the East Part of the Texas Pnhandle, 2 in SW Kansas
* 23 hail reports, mostly in the east part of the Texas Panhandle, Extreme West Oklahoma, West and Central Kansas and one report each Nebraska and Iowa.
* 2 high wind reports
All of these occurred last night mostly before midnight. We have not seen any reports of significant damage. Of course it is still very early in the game.
NEW TORNADO WATCH–PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION
It is in effect until 4 o’clock this afternoon for:
…Much of Arkansas
…Extreme NE Texas
…Part of North and NW Louisiana including the Shreveport area.
This is one of those feared PDS Watches which means “Particularly Dangerous Situation” which also means there could be some devastating tornadoes.
