A new tornado warning for Dallas County until 12:45 p.m….
Very dangerous storm near Millers Ferry moving into Dallas County. It will pass near or south of Orrville and Selma. Residents of Dallas County should take cover now.

A tornado warning is also in effect for Dallas and Clarke Counties until 1:15 p.m. Storm north of Grove Hill is intensifying…and moving NE.

A new severe thunderstorm warning for Colbert County until 1:15 p.m.
Storm over northern Franklin County moving into Colbert County…will pass near Littleville.

Franklin County warning has expired.

Tornado watches cover all 67 counties of Alabama…western half until 6 p.m….eastern half until 8 p.m. Both are PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watches.

Virtually the entire state in under a HIGH RISK outlook for severe weather except for the northeast corner of the state, which is under a MODERATE RISK…so not much better.

Instability is increasing over Central and Southwest Alabama and widespread severe weather is likely this afternoon including the possibility of long track, significant tornadoes.
