Strongest part of cyclical supercell is passing just south of Selma. Will cross State Route 41 between Selma and Sardis. This storm is capable of producing a tornado at any time if it is not already. Tornado damage was reported earlier from Millers Ferry in Wilcox County with this storm.

The severe thunderstorm warning for Colbert County was cancelled.
Significant weather alert for Franklin County. Just northwest of Phil Campbell, south of Russellville. Dime size hail possible.
Cooling cloud tops over South Central Alabama indicate an increasing severe threat south of I-20. Winds are still favorable for supercell and tornado development from about Marion over to Cullman County and then south.
Good news is that cloud cover is helping to hold things in check across North Central Alabama. Winds are veering to the SW over eastern Mississippi and this could be good news. Significant tornado threat continues for North Central Alabama from Marion County to Cullman County and south.
Tornado watches cover all 67 counties of Alabama…western half until 6 p.m….eastern half until 8 p.m. Both are PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watches.
Virtually the entire state in under a HIGH RISK outlook for severe weather except for the northeast corner of the state, which is under a MODERATE RISK…so not much better.
