Things are going to be very dangerous over the next couple of hours from Marion and Winston Counties down to Greene…Sumter and Tuscaloosa Counties. This activity will shift eastward into the Birmingham area eventually.

Have rotation in northern part of the county along the line with Pickens County and just northeast of Union.
TORNADO WARNING LAMAR CO UNTIL 315PM
Funnel cloud over Vernon not touching the ground at 2:47 p.m. Lamar County EMA reports wall cloud visible from their office. Damage reported in Vernon.
TORNADO WARNING FAYETTE CO UNTIL 315PM
Lamar County storm will move into Fayette County passing north of Fayette.
TORNADO WARNING PICKENS CO UNTIL 3 PM
This is the storm heading toward Tuscaloosa. It is on the Pickens/Greene County line 18 miles southwest of Northport.
Tornado watches cover all 67 counties of Alabama…western half until 6 p.m….eastern half until 8 p.m. Both are PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watches.
Virtually the entire state in under a HIGH RISK outlook for severe weather except for the northeast corner of the state, which is under a MODERATE RISK…so not much better.
