Temperatures soared into the mid and upper 80s across Alabama this afternoon. It ispossible that later reports will show that someone reached 90.

88 in Huntsville breaking the old record of 85 in 1963
86 in Muscle Shoals, Old record was 84 in 1963
87 at Birmingham. Old record 85 in 1928
89 in Montgomery. Old record 86 way back in 1895
86 in Anniston. Old record 85 in 1963
87 in Tuscaloosa which tied the record set in 1998
