The storm that has had a history of producing a wall cloud and funnel cloud is tracking along the Clay/Cleburne County line.
It will cross State Route 9 and US 431 eventually passing between Ranburne and Woodland.
It is capable of producing parge hail and deadly lightning. Hail at least two inches in diameter was reported earlier. Also, it could quickly cycle back into tornadic mode.
A severe thunderstorms watch is in effect until 9 p.m. CDT for much of North and North Central Alabama.
