Just a quick note…the threat of severe weather is far from over for Alabama tonight.
The cancelleation of the severe thunderstorm watch may have given folks the impression that the threat had ended. It has ended for now. But you can bank on additional watches and warnings later tonight as a strong cold front approaches Alabama.
Stay alert tonight and be close to a source of weather information that will awaken you if warnings are issued.
Make sure your weatheradio is turned on and in alert mode.
If you live in mobile homes, we want you to be especially alert and ready to move to a substantial structure well in advance of any severe storms. Unfortunately, you don’t have the luxury of waiting for the warnings in most cases.
