The Tornado Watch continues until 8 o’clock tonight for 36 of the 67 counties in Alabama. Almost all of North and Central Alabama included.
Intnse thunderstorms were roaming through West Alabama at mid-afternoon. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were posted for a number of counties, including Tuscaloosa, Hale, Marengo, Walker and Lawrence.
Some of these intense thunderstorms will reach the Birmingham area by around 3:30 or so this afternoon.
