Showers and thunderstorms continue across Alabama this afternoon.
The heaviest thunderstorms are over Southwest Alabama over parts of Clrke, Monroe and Wilcox Counties. The most dangerous part of the storm appears to be betwen Camden, Vredenburgh, Beatrice and Oakhille, moving northeast toward Pine Apple. Rotation is indicated with this storm and a tornado could occur at any time. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Monroe and Wilcox Counties.
A tornado watch is in effect for South and Central Alabama.
Closer to home, the strongest storms over North Alabama are found south and west of Birmingham across SW Jeferson, Tuscaloosa, Hale into the border area betwwen Sumter… Pickens and Greene Counties.
The cell crossing US 43 north of Tuscaloosa is showing indications of small hail.
Another cell is over western Winston County.
