Showers sure are taking their time spreading further east into Alabama. At 12:45 am, two lines of showers were affecting the western counties.

Leading eastern line from Lawrence County down across Western Winston, NW Walker and Extreme East Fayette into Pickens County.

The other line from Lamar County into Extreme East Mississippi.

Everything shifting eastward ever so slowly but the individual storms moving NNE instead of East.

Looking more and more like it will be 3 am before much rain reaches Birmingham.

The heavier showers are producing some moderate to heavy rain.

Lightning is almost non-existent.

Still no real threat of severe thunderstorms although we continue under a slight risk.
