The new SPC Outlook has almost all of Alabama included in a slight risk today. The extreme NW part of the state is not included.
At 2:30 am, a broad zone of showers extended from Hackleburg and Haleyville in NW Alabama, southward down the west side of the state. The showers were moving NNE but the whole system was shifting eastward only slowly.
Some of the heaviest rain was over South Sumter County near Livingston.
Now looks like it will be closer to 4 am before Birmingham gets much rain.
