Much of North and West Alabama is no longer in a slight risk for severe weather by the NWS/Storm Prediction Center. The slight risk is now in East-Central and SE Alabama, generally from near Chattanooga, Ft. Payne, Gadsden, Pell City and Selma eastward. The Birmingham area is not included.
Rain was widespread during the night and a lot of it was extremely beneficial. At mid morning, most of the rain and the heaviest amounts were over NE Alabama and from about St. Clair County eastward. There were a few heavy showers over Bibb County, as well as down in SW Alabama.
