The lone (and I suppose lonely) thunderstorm that was over West Alabama’s Pickens County early this afternoon diminished into a small area of light showers along the Pickens-Tuscaloosa County line.

Too bad.

The NWS, Huntsville, reported this morning that soil moisture in NW Alabama was approaching historic lows.

Scattered thunderstorms over the next two or three days but we do not expect a widespread beneficial rain.

To our west, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 4 PM for South Mississippi.
