A cluster of strong thunderstorms continues to advance slowly toward the WSW across Central Alabama this evening.
At 7:20 pm, the strongest thunderstorms were over West Shelby County and Extreme SW Jefferson County. They were beginning to cross over into East Tuscaloosa County.
Still producing lots of lightning and heavy downpours.
An outflow boundry is clearly visible on radar near the Tuscaloosa-Brent-Marion line. This could possibly trigger some additional thunderstorms.
Rain amounts so far:
0.20 at Birmingham Airport (as of 7 pm)
0.86 in NE Trussville
2.24 in Cahaba Heights
