“A thunderstorm moved through Alexandria today around 3:15. We received heavy rain and wind. The storm lasted about 30 minutes. The picture shows damage to a house that is under construction in our neighborhood. Also, lightning struck a transformer at the intersection of highways 431 and 144 in Alexandria and there was some minor flash flooding in the area. We were in bad need of rain; well, we definitely got some today.”
