An intense thunderstorm has prompted a warning for southwestern Lamar and northwestern Pickens County until 330 p.m.
The storm is crossing US-82 west of Reform. Will pass near Macedonia and Ethelsville.
The NWS Birmingham noted a Mid-Altitude Radial Convergence (MARC) Signature in the storm, which is indicative of a high probability of damaging winds.
People in the warning area should take shelter in a sturdy building until the storm passes. Lightning, small hail and torrential rains will also accompany the storm.
