A nice little thunderstorm cloud is visible well northeast of Birmingham.

There are actually two…one along I-59 about 12 miles north of Gadsden and another south of Fort Payne. The first storm is heading straight for Gadsden and the other is heading toward Centre if they hold together.

Elsewhere over the northern half of the state, a nice storm on the Talladega/Clay County line about 9 miles NNW of Ashland. I think this complex will make it to Ashland. The rest of North and Central Alabama is calm for now.

A weak cool front is just to our north. It could trigger a few more showers and storms overnight.
