At 4:00 this afternoon, the cold front leading cooler and much drier air into Alabama extended from near Anniston to North Shelby County, Centreville, Greensboro and Livingston. There was a line of showers and some thunderstorms with the front.
At McCalla in SW Jefferson County, the temperature fell 12 degrees in 30 minutes (from 81 to 69) as the front passed.
It was a cool 65 in Huntsville and Decatur.
Fayette received 0.33 rain today, Mount olive 0.60 and McCalla 0.29.
Most of the showers have ended in Jefferson County. By morning, temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s.
