All activity is moving west or northwest. The showers will slowly diminish this evening.
0.43 inches fell in Fayette. 0.10 inches fell in Hueytown. Much greater amounts have probably fallen over southern Walker County.
Expect scattered storms again on Saturdaym but a better chance on Sunday across the area.
Tropical Storm Barry is in the Gulf about 300 miles southwest of Tampa. It is moving north and will gradually turn to a north northeasterly course and cross the Peninsula. This will preclude our getting any rain from the system, but at least it may bring some nice rainfall amounts to South Georgia and North Florida in the wildfire areas.
