Scattered thunderstorms continue to develop over part of Central Alabama at midday.

At noon, they were scattered across Elmore and Montgomery Counties, others were over Lee County and a few other storms were located in Chilton County north of Clanton and in Randolph County between Roanoke and Wedowee.

NWS believes that hailstones as big as 1/2 inch in diameter could occur in the Elmore storm as it moves east toward Eclectic.

All of the storms were moving almost due east.

With afternoon heating, look for a few isolated storms to develop almost anywhere. The SPC has the extreme south part of Alabama under a Slight Risk of severe weather today.
