We can sure make this discussion short and sweet. Dry weather is the story for the next 7 days as the rain producing systems for now will pass well to the north of Alabama.
TOMORROW MORNING: While most of you will see a low in the low 40s, the coldest valleys will drop down into the low to mid 30s again with some risk of scattered frost. This morning our Skywatcher in Broomtown in Cherokee County dropped to 34 degrees; he could be around 32 early tomorrow.
REST OF THE WEEKEND: Sunny weather is the story tomorrow and Sunday with highs in the mid 70s. Nothing but severe clear.
AT THE BEACH: A great weekend even though the ocean temperature just off the beaches is still fairly cool, but there should be near total sunshine through at least next Tuesday with highs in the 75 to 77-degree range and lows in the 50s. Along the immediate coast the high will be closer to 70 due to the cool ocean water.
NEXT WEEK: Dry weather continues all week with highs mostly in the upper 70s. Some hint showers could return the following weekend (April 17-18), but nothing especially heavy based on the latest global model output. Looks like we are going to be relatively dry and warm for the rest of April. And, still no sign of any serious severe weather setup.
WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. You can even listen here on the blog; look for the player on the top left.
