A nice cumulus field has formed across Central Alabama this afternoon. A few light showers were beginning to develop.
At 3:55, a couple of showers had developed over northern Jefferson County. A small but rather heavy shower had developed along Highway 79 between Tarrant City and Pinson. It is moving southeast toward the I-59/459 interchange. It could develop lightning soon as it moves toward the Birmingham Race Course.
Expect a few more showers to develop over the next couple of hours within this cumulus field.
