Tropical Storm Dexter continues moving northeastward over the open Atlantic as of the 5 PM advisory on Monday, August 4, 2025. The storm is currently located about 275 miles north-northwest of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds holding steady at 45 miles per hour. It’s moving to the northeast at a speed of 15 miles per hour, and this general motion is expected to continue over the next several days.
Dexter remains a weak tropical storm, and no significant changes in strength are expected. By the middle to later part of the week, it’s likely to lose its tropical characteristics and become a post-tropical system. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles from the center, but the storm remains well away from any land areas.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect, and Dexter is not expected to pose a threat to land. It remains a system to watch, but for now, it’s staying out at sea.
