A nice cool morning across Alabama this morning. Temperatures dropped as low as 48 in Gadsden, 49 in Anniston and Pinson. Even Mobile shares the coolness with 53 and Montgomery had 51.

Scattered light rain continues over parts of Alabama. Most of it extends from about Birmingham NE to Gadsden and into NE Alabama’s Cherokee County. It also extends southward to Chilton and Clay County eastward.

Amounts are light. Typical is the 0.02 at Birmingham and Anniston.

Better weather is ahead with mostly sunshine Wednesday and Thursday with the ole backyard thermometer recovering to 80 or better by Thursday and Friday.

NEXT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Too early to tell how significant.

STORM SURVEYS
