Another batch of strong thunderstorms has entered West Alabama from Mississippi in the wee morning hours of this Friday.
The main storms were lined up from West Bibb County southward through Perry County. These storms will affect mainly places like Brent, Centreville, West Blocton and Marion in the next hour or so. Later they will spread over into South Shelby, Chilton and North Dallas County.
These storms are not as strong as the big batch of storms Thursday afternoon and evening. But there is plenty of lightning and heavy rain. The last Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued because if these storms was from the NWS Jackson around 10 pm.
The late hour and because the storms are moving into a large area of rain cooled air should help us avoiding additional warnings.
But as always, we will watch and wait.
Maybe a bit of coffee…
