Those thunderstorms that roamed around extreme NW Alabama almost all afternoon, were slowly fading away. At 7:00 p.m. there were scattered ones around Franklin County, south across Marion County, into North Fayette County and the very NW corner of Walker County. The strongest storm was in West/Central Lamar County just west of Vernon. They are all moving slowly toward the south.

Over on the opposite side of the state, a thunderstorm was in North Randolph County near Wedowee and moving toward the SSW. Considerable lightning was with it.

In NE Alabama, a smaller thunderstorm was moving out of West Jackson County toward North Marshall County and moving generally toward Guntersville. It was declining in strength.

It was hot across Alabama today. We will post some selected high temperatures within the next hour.
