The large thunderstorm that moved from Blount County into NE Jefferson County is not as large now.
And it has picked up forward speed.
At 10:45 it was crossing the Jefferson-Shelby County line in the general vicinity of Mountain Brook. It was moving southward and will track near Oak Mountain State Park.
It should also gradually weaken by the time it gets into Southern Shelby County.
The lightning not as frequent as earlier.
