Showers and thunderstorm activity is winding own across Alabama tonight as we lose the heating of the day.
The upper low is centered near Columbus MS tonight. It should continue to drop southwestward into southern Mississippi overnight.
A few showers could continue through the overnight hours with the proximity of the low, but we don’t anticipate any additional severe weather.
With its natural spin and colder air aloft, showers and storms will form and intensify again on Saturday. Some of them will be strong to severe, much like today.
This will be the last update this evening, unless significant weather develops again.
