It is the same old story in Alabama.

More showers and thunderstorms.

By 5 o’clock this morning we were already hearing the first sounds of thunder in NE Jefferson County. Scattered showers (not very big ones) were already developing in places like:

…..NE Jefferson County
…..St. Clair
…..Calhoun
…..Talladega
…..Blount
…..Cullman

Everything was moving toward the northeast. The small young thunderstorm over NE Jefferson County will likely be growing larger.

We have a good chance of showers and thunderstorms again today across drought-free Alabama, especially later today and this afternoon.

Another busy day in the weather office.

But that is why we are here and in this type business.
