Paula, one of our blog readers, reports an estimated two inches in Columbiana and still raining heavily.
Not a great deal of lightning.
The heaviest rain at 7:30 was not only over South Shelby County where Columbiana is located but also over adjacent North Chilton County.
It was also raining heavily along the Clay-Talladega County line and wesward to near Talladega. Other storms over Walker County, mainly the central and north part.
Over in Extreme East Alabama, heavy showers were crossing the Georgia border into NE Randolph and SE Cleburne County.
Everything moving westward.
