Moisture has been spreading westward into Alabama from the east today.
Some heavy showers occurred in the Extreme SE early today with 2.67 inches of rain at Dothan.
At mid-afternoon, some widely scattered showers and even an isolated thunderstorm had developed across Central Alabama from near the Georgia border westward as far as East Tuscaloosa County.
They were moving generally toward the west.
