Here is a late afternoon update from around Alabama including a spot report on some 4 o’clock temperatures.
Scattered showers developed this afternoon mainly over east and Southeast Alabama but almost all of the lightning was down over the SE corner of the state.
In fact a line of showers stretched from near Opelika to Andalusia. Everything moving east to west. Moderate showers over NE Alabama from south of Fort Payne down into Etowah and Calhoun County,
Birmingham officially reached 100 degrees by 4 o’clock this afternoon.
