Heavy storms continue across Central Alabama this evening.
They are actually moving northward slowly, but they are backbuilding to the south as well, so the effect is that they are sinking slowly south.
The heaviest weather is over East Alabama’s Talladega, Clay, Calhoun, Cleburne and Randolph Counties. Some of the worst weather right now extends from Talladega to the Logan Martin Dam.
Other nasty storms are approaching downtown Birmingham and the Airport from the Pinson and Tarrant areas.
Be alert for torrential, blinding rains, intense lightning and winds that will gust to over 50 mph.
