Things have calmed down this evening over Alabama.

A flash flood warning remains in effect for Franklin County. Those storms are hugging the Alabama/Mississippi border east of Fulton and west of Hamilton right now and pushing south southwestward. Another strong storm was approaching Russellville.

More strong storms are over southern Tennessee heading toward the northwestern corner of Alabama, but they should start weakening shortly.

In West Alabama, storms continue from near Carrollton to near Eutaw to north of Greensboro. They are pushing south southwest as well. The storms brought lots of rain to downtown Tuscaloosa, along with lots of lightning, but only 0.01 inches fell at the Airport, which is west of the city. Just west of the Airport though, our Ron Hughes picked up 0.76 inches in a short period.

Moderate showers continue over East Alabama, with the heaviest rain over Tallapoosa County.
