Just what the doctor ordered.

And, the weatherman, too.

And all of us…

No way we could place a dollar value on the great rain event across a wide swatch of Alabama overnight and it continues early on this Thursday morning!

At 3 o’clock on this (wet) (soaked) (drenched) morning, the heaviest rain has shifted over into East Central Alabama. Coosa, Clay and Talladega County now getting moderate to heavy rain.

But it is still a steady rain over much of Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby and Tuscaloosa County even though it is a lot lighter.

Lightening detection equipment shows a marked decrease in those vivid strokes that keep you awake.

Headed to bed for some fast-forward shuteye. Gotta be up before 6.

Thanks again for all the reports.

I am so happy about this rain that I could eat a frosted-brown-sugar-cinnamon pop tart if I had one…

Goodnight everyone…
