This email to James Spann late this afternoon. This occurred last night and early today:

Sorry I am a little late with this info but I am just getting home. I am the supervisor for Pelham Parks and Recreation. In my rain gauge this morning was 4.12″ Our entire park was flooded and my guys spent the entire morning cleaning up. It was so much water that it flooded bathrooms with the door closed and the waterline was about 10 inches up the brick wall. Our drainage system in the entire park was overwhelmed. I thought there is no way we got that much with the reports I was seeing around us but I know from working there for 9 years that flooding like we had does not happen without a significant amount of rain. I checked with our sewer department which is about 1.5 miles away and they reported 2.75 inches. They have to record rainfall for the flow of their systems daily. Just thought you would be interested in this report.
