At 3:45 am, very, very early on this Friday morning, a small cluster of thunderstorms was still in progress over West Central Alabama–clustered almost entirely over Greene County. People in Eutaw probably being kept awake by loud thunder.
Heavy rain but in a fairly small area. A few of those storms extend down into Marengo County.
Movement very slowly toward the south.
A very warm summer night. The 3 am temperature in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa was 81. Translation: The ole overworked air conditioner probably humming along all night.
