Thunderstorms ac ross North Alabama were widely spaced this afternoon but some nice ones were in progress. (We call all thunderstorms nice during a severe drought and consider them our friends)
Probably the better North Alabama storms were over marshall and Dekalb County in the extreme NE part of the state. That area has been a breeding ground for thunderstorms for the past several days.
The thunderstorms were moving SW just like yesterday.
By far, the more numerous and stronger storms were over the south half of the state. Especially from south of Tuscaloosa down through Hale, Marengo, Wilcox and Clarke County.
Other strong storms over SE Alabama.
Over Extreme NW Alabama, virtually no showers or storms.
