For the third morning in a row, here we go to celebrate a list of low temperatures around Alabama this morning. I use the term “celebrate” because it was not long ago that we awoke each morning to sticky morning lows well into the 70s and humidity off the charts.

* How about that? No 100-degree weather anywhere in this great nation yesterday unless there are some missing reports from Death Valley that we do not have.

UNUSUAL WEATHER
Parts of the Desert Southwest have really caught it lately, especially in Arizona. There has been a lot of flash flooding around Phoenix and this morning a Tornado Watch is in effect for a good chunk of Arizona including Phoenix all the way northward to Flagstaff. This includes places like Cottonwood, Sedona and the awesome Oak Creek Canyon. When you drive Oak Creek Canyon starting south of Flagstaff and going south, if you have never seen it before, you would not believe the sharpness and frequency of switchbacks.

LATE NOTE: Around 9:45 this morning (Alabama time) there was a report of a tornado on the ground near Flagstaff in the high country of Arizona!
