Heavy rain in some areas:
Mainly over Marion and North Lamar County in NW Alabama. Spreading into NW Winston County.
Rather numerous showers over NE Alabama, especially in Dekalb County.
Scattered showers over West Alabama especially Greene, Hale and Tuscaloosa County. Some lightning involoved in a few of the storms.
The showers were moving generally east but the whole array was slowly shifting toward the SE as a cold front continues to push into NW Alabama. (Well, a oool front)
Temperatures reached 90 again at Birmingham, but it was in the 70s where showers were occurring.
SPECIFIC REPORTS
3340 Skywatcher for Northport reported 0.47 of an inch of rain rather quickly and the temperature dropped from 91 to 75.
Heavy showers also on the University of Alabama campus.
