Early tonight, a long line of showers (and a few thunderstorms) extended all the way from the Scottsboro-Huntsville area in Northeast Alabama southwestward to Pickens County in West Central Alabama…then well into Mississippi.

Not a solid line but some places getting some moderate to briefly heavy rain.

At 6:50 pm, one of the heavier showers–not very large– was over Pickens County.

Movement generally eastward.

This weather event is giving some places a decent rain but it is, by no means, a widespread rain that we badly need.

Down the road, it looks like our best chance of a more widespread rain will be about Monday.

FOOTBALL WEATHER
Looks good for the high school games Thursday and Friday nights and the college games on Saturday.
