The SPC has posted a severe thunderstorm watch that is valid until 10 p.m. CDT for the northwestern third of Mississippi.
Showers and storms over Arkansas and Louisiana will move into Mississippi over the next few hours. There will be sufficient wind shear for some of them to be severe. Damaging winds and hail will be the main threats.
